The Drone Industry is set to Boom

In late 2020, a report was released by "Deloitte" in reference to the "Economic Benefit Analysis of Drones In Australia", This report was requested by the Australian Government, Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications. Drones have significant potential to boost the Australian economy and its regions over the next 5, 10 and 20 years. This is through both the growth of the drone industry itself and the cost savings and broader productivity benefits uptake of this technology and use of its services could generate for a range of sectors in the nation. The modelling highlights the impact on Australian GDP could range from $9.4 billion to $20.7 billion in the low to high scenarios (present value at 7% real discount rate).
